Fun Cases is the company I have had the pleasure to work at since starting my career, Fun Cases is a merchandising company who specialises in phone cases. Since being in this role I have transformed the company with my illustrations, while constantly making fresh designs for new products. I have explored different digital formats and content creation including: product photos, GIFS, email images, social media posts and website content.
As the resident graphic designer in the team I make new designs for our products, taking inspiration from pop culture and recent events. Our products are released on a collection basis, consisting of 10 designs.
Here's some of my recent designs below:
As the company prints every design in-house we've had the opportunity to make viral moments into cases quickly and as the designer that means being on top of current trends.
We also turn these trendy cases into short-form TikTok content, I don't directly orchestrate the social media content however I'm always making the assets/ posts and sharing ideas on popular TikTok trends we could hop onto.
I create other content for our social medias such as carousels and grid posts. Our carousels tend to be for new product launches and grid posts for offers. Here are some examples of carousels:
I did tend to explore designs that featured Apple iOS UI as we're primarily a phone case company so I wanted to have subtle nods to that while still being trendy.
Grid post examples:
For every seasonal event or sale the site needs a new banner, each banner is illustrated by me using the illustration style I've adopted for the brand. All banners are sized for both mobile and PC versions of the site.
I also create a lot of assets for the site such as seasonal logos, icons, product icons and images.

At a certain point of content creation the brand wanted to do some more interactive content such as GIFs, I hadn't previously worked with GIFs before so this was a challenge.
I used to draw a lot in my spare time and had some experience with animation so I had a vague idea. These GIF projects were especially challenging as a lot of them were illustrated due to this I decided to do my workflow in Photoshop.
Since then I've been learning new techniques and slowly making more complicated compositions.
I've been able to work on multiple packaging projects including our mailing bags. I've designed all the packaging artwork on the provided die cuts from our manufacturer, accounting for bleed.
I haven't had a lot of opportunities for packaging projects however they are one of my favourite tasks to do.
I make email content for the brand, which recently combine photos and bubble writing to stay fun. I've even automated my workflow by making a Photoshop template for the image making it easy and seamless. Using a variety of different styles as the brand has evolved.
