I wanted to create a donut brand that make sweet treats that are gut healthy so I came up with Cultured Donuts. Their donuts are made from sourdough so you don't feel as bad after tucking into one. It was important to me that the brand empowered people who do have gut health problems while opening the conversation.
The brand's personality is vibrant, trendy and somewhat retro as they lean into the classic doughnut shop cliché.
For the logo I wanted to add some visual element linking back to fermentation as the donuts are sourdough. I kept it simple by adding a set of bubbles. 
Cultured Donuts is not shy so I wanted to add an iconic quote onto their cups while using trendy language.
Cultured Donuts use a bold typeface so I wanted to make it pop in most of the imagery. I think it was fitting that photos had a vintage look too to play homage to the brands retro side.
